Capegate Shopping Centre is ushering in the new year with dynamic events that spotlight community wellness and sustainable living. This January, fitness enthusiasts and eco-conscious shoppers alike can look forward to two standout events: the first Capegate Fit Club session of 2025 on January 25 and the highly anticipated CG Thrift Fest Summer Edition, running from January 31 to February 2.


Capegate Fit Club: Energizing Your Fitness Goals

Capegate is setting the stage for a healthier 2025 with its inaugural CG Fit Club on January 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Held at the Undercover Parking Entrance 6, this high-energy event features a 45-minute Zumba class followed by a rejuvenating 45-minute yoga session. Designed in partnership with Virgin Active and Kauai, the experience blends movement, mindfulness, and motivation, catering to participants at all fitness levels.



Attendees will enjoy added perks, including a complimentary Kauai smoothie voucher and a chance to win an additional R250 Kauai wallet balance in a lucky draw. “Fitness is more than just exercise—it’s about fostering a sense of community and making wellness accessible,” said Zoë Enslin, Marketing Manager at Capegate Shopping Centre. “With CG Fit Club, we aim to inspire and support our community’s health journeys in a fun and inclusive environment.”


Tickets are limited and priced at an accessible R50, underscoring Capegate’s commitment to affordability and engagement. Future CG Fit Club sessions are scheduled for February 22 and March 29, 2025.

CG Thrift Fest Summer Edition: A Celebration of Sustainable Fashion

From January 31 to February 2, Capegate will host the CG Thrift Fest Summer Edition, an immersive thrift shopping experience at the Bridge Court. The event invites shoppers to explore curated selections of pre-loved, second-hand, and vintage items, all while championing sustainability and individuality.



“The CG Thrift Fest isn’t just about shopping—it’s about discovering unique pieces that tell a story, while also embracing eco-conscious practices,” said Enslin. “This Summer Edition will be our most vibrant yet, appealing to seasoned thrifters and newcomers alike.”

The event runs on the following schedule:

  • Friday, January 31: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Saturday, February 1: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Sunday, February 2: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
