2. Crochet
Crochet is having a major moment, showcasing its versatility through a range of styles, from intricate, tight needlework to loose threading with oversized gabs. Tight crochet styles have found their way into smart casual and even formal wardrobes, while the more open-threaded designs lend themselves perfectly to laid-back, sun-soaked days.
There's an undeniable allure to crochet’s earthy, textured appeal—it feels artisanal yet luxurious, a balance that's elevated with thoughtful styling. From dreamy crochet bikinis gracing 2024 runways to everyday staples, this trend continues to inspire. The great thing about crochet is that many people can do it and it’s very easy to learn. So if you want something specific but can’t find it in store, I’m sure you’ll find someone who can crochet it for you!
3. Cherry Red
Bright red has taken centre stage in 2024, dominating everything from beauty to accessories. Think “Cherry Red lips and Cherry Red Nails” that defined Autumn and Winter, effortlessly transitioning into year-round staple. Red became extremely popular in 2024 and has inspired a wave of bold choices, from red Adidas Samba’s, red pumps, to red stick on nails, red hair accessories and red bags.
This shift feels particularly refreshing after seasons dominated by muted neutral tones; this shift may, in part, be owed to the global focus on Paris during the 2024 Olympic Games—the city of romance, red lipstick, and the iconic red, white, and blue flag. This year, red is more than a colour; it’s a statement.

The 2024 Spring/Summer collections shimmered with a nostalgic disco energy. Sequins and gemstones were everywhere, and brought glamour back to the public. Dries van Noten captivated with mid length skirts, channelling the 20s and 80s party scenes. While No21 delivered movement and drama with a mermaid-inspired skirt.
The idea behind the ‘Party Skirt’ is to communicate the happy, lively, energetic side to you when you wear it. This kind of skirt can easily be paired with a white tank top for a more relaxed look, or with a draped off the shoulder blouse for more of an edge. The message is clear: fashion should be as fun and dynamic as the wearer.
5. Belt accessories
This trend is similar to the ‘Party Skirts’ trend of adding fun and movement to the bottom part of the outfit. Prada and Area lead the way, redefining the belt as the ultimate piece to elevate any outfit. In Prada’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, models wore blazers and short co-ords cinched with not one, but two belts, with shimmering glitter tinsel hanging delicately from them — an unexpected, yet captivating touch that was absolutely stunning!
Area’s gemstone belts offered a playful yet luxe touch, perfect for layering over jeans, skirts and shorts, adding that bit of sparkle.
